Data recovery rates by media

The price of data recovery varies according to a number of factors, requiring a customized response to each scenario. In addition to the level of service required, the cost of our interventions therefore incorporates information or elements such as :

Hard disk / HDD data recovery rates

The price of hard disk (or HDD) data recovery depends initially on the type of media (conventional hard disk, helium hard disk, etc.), its characteristics (volume, quantity of data to be recovered, etc.) and the type of machine (PC or Mac compatible, tower or laptop, external hard disk, etc.).

The cost of the intervention may also vary according to the nature of the malfunction, incident or claim. Depending on the circumstances, it may be necessary to open the hard disk in a clean room. Any prior operations carried out on the media (system reinstallation, disk analysis, use of data recovery software, disk opening, etc.) must also be taken into account.

To find out the cost of HDD data recovery, you need to submit a request for a free quote, together with a technical description of the media and the problem. Once the diagnosis has been made, we'll be able to tell you the exact cost of the intervention.

SSD / flash memory data recovery rates

The price of data recovery from SSDs or flash memory depends more on the model and characteristics of the media than on the type of failure. Since SSDs have no mechanical parts, they are more resistant to shocks and therefore only subject to electronic or logical failures.

Any intervention on an SSD requires a thorough analysis of the medium, as flash memory technology makes data recovery difficult. This involves determining its characteristics: storage cell level, controller parameters, write cycles, data distribution algorithm, etc.

The price for SSD data recovery is determined by the free A-removal analysis of your hardware. This follows any quotation request, along with a technical description of the media and the symptoms of the fault. This analysis enables us to make a precise diagnosis and evaluate the cost of the intervention required.

RAID data recovery rates

As with HDDs, the cost of data recovery from a RAID system depends in part on the characteristics of the disks that make up the system and the nature of the failure or disaster that affects it. However, it will depend to a greater extent on the architecture of the system (RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, etc.).

Redundancy and parity rules, the order of the drives, the size and distribution of the data blocks, etc. will determine the nature of the intervention. In order to analyze the system configuration and calculate the cost of RAID data recovery, a diagnosis must first be made.

NAS and SAN data recovery rates

The price of NAS server data recovery depends on the type of storage media used for file sharing: HDD, SSD, even RAID systems... A quote request must be submitted to us in order to determine the cost of the intervention following an analysis of the media.

The cost of SAN data recovery depends not only on the type of media involved (HDD, SSD, RAID...), but also on its position in the network architecture. An analysis of each network resource, triggered by a request for quotation, may be necessary to identify the defective media and the nature of the failure.

Rates for other media and service options

The price of data recovery from any type of storage medium is determined by an analysis of the equipment concerned, following a request for a quotation. Databack can also recover data from many other types of media:

Our laboratory also offers several service options:

Service options
Return medium for recovered data (USB key or external hard drive)
Return of data on encrypted external hard drive
Secure destruction of customer media by demagnetisation and recycling
On-site collection
Return postage : Colissimo, TNT Express, Dedicated Express Courier
Cost of returning your equipment if it is impossible to recover the data or if the quotation is refused (cost of reassembly, packing and dispatch
